I bought a car which has an odd setup attached to the seat I have never seen before, I have volmac recliners on other cars but never seen this before, looks well done too, what do you think?
so you pull the knob under the centre of the seat and it pulls the side pins in, the back of the seat folds down
Back in the 70's there were a few companies that did layback seat conversions. I had my Morris 1100 done so I could sleep in it (front bench seat).
From what I remember this setup looks similar. Unfortunately, I have no idea who the company was that did the conversion.
Cheers
I have seen ads in old car magazines, and the company was actualy called 'Layback seat conversions'
you could get a laydown gearstick as well, so it didnt end up somewhere painful when you rolled over
otherwise just slide them out and turn them around
