okay this is whats happening I have a 1.8 kombi block and a 2.1 watercooled block less heads and barrels but have a set of good type 1 heads whats
the better option for performance and longevity help would be great

Oxybxr = $$$
T IV = $$ and low power but good fin area for cooling
Lots to consider but hard to compare as there is heaps to consider in both configurations.
Sell the Type 1 heads, put towards building a nice Type 4, whats it going in?
going into a beetle fish it was to be blown as well in the future and yes for street use
If it is a beetle, then a larger type 1 engine will fit straight in. In regards to 'blown in future' you cannot do it. A blown engine is built differently to a naturally aspirated engine. The extra pressure of a blown engine requires an initial engine build to have lower compression ratio, as the blower will create the extra bars/ psi of air pressure. If you build a standard engine, and then chuck a blower on it, the compession ratio will be so high that it will ping/ pre detonate so badly, and you will have to back off the timing so much that you will have a standard powered engine.
already know about compression and the way fuel ratios /pressure within block so work with a large type one engine with a alloy block not a original due to lack of meat behind cylinder 3 and a bubble top case at that for the stroker crank anything else I need to know or any engine combos that work better then others my mate has a 2275cc turbo motor here in townsville t3/t4 turbo 500cfm draw through and it rockets
