I'm looking at getting a set of idf's for my stock as a rock 1600 d/port.
Any tips on size? iv been told 38-40.
i wouldnt mind hearing what you have to say on this subject so ima bump for him. seeings as i have stock 1600 at the moment with carbs that use WAY too much fuel. kadrons.
Check the jetting on your Kadrons, they should be quiet good on fuel if jetted correctly.
If you want to swap to webers, dual 40 idf's will work on a 1600, again if jetted correctly.
I've heard 36 ict's are the go you can get em brand new with linkages and manifolds for around 850-00.maybe also a set of ratio rockers to help handle the extra gases
I think you mean 34 ICTs
They are dual single barrels like Kads
I would be surprised if you could get them for $850.... maybe 2nd hand but they are not that common.
IDF 40,s would work, as would a set of IDF 36's
If you have stock valves (35mm) i would shoot for 32mm vents and about 135 airs 170 airs.
You can get the 36's from an Alfa wrecker fairly cheap and fix em up
Does anyone know of an Alfa wrecker in Sydney?
IN AUSTRALIA......
you will need to find a friend to go halves as there are 4 of them.

HOLY CRAP!!!
Imagine rejetting THAT sucker!!!
Here are a couple of Alfa dealers. Last time i checked they were like $125 per carb - $250 a set
Just make sure you get matching pairs. The Alfa IDF36's usually came with 32 vents which is good but F57 tubes which will need to be replaced.
