old style lights in place of new
choo - October 28th, 2004 at 10:41 AM

Is it possible to put the older flatter, flush, better looking rear lights and indicators (front and back) of an early type three in place of the squarer, bulky, less attractive lights they put on the late models.
Or are there any in production that mimick the old style to fit the cavity of a newer model. Or anything to lessen the effect of the late style?
Is the cavity the same size as the old, just with the lights changed for later restrictions?
Any help would be cool
Thanks

I think you will find the panel cut-outs (holes for teh lights)are different. You could change panels...

I've seen this done on a late Ghia, using a cut from an earlier ghia and welding it on. Lot of work but worth it im my opinion. I'm not a fan of those big lights!

no those lights don't cut it do they.
Nothing on the market that fits but isn't so bulky?
Panel cutting seems extreme (to me)
