Hi People,
I not long ago brought eureka with a freshly rebuit 2lt type 4 kombi (ground cam, .20 oversize pistons and so on.) which i am looking at add a turbo
too.
Now what would be the best turbo to use im more after somthing to kick in about 2,200 - and go to redline which is around 5,000rpm ATM.
Also Carby best type/brand/Model carby to use ? i was thinking a lager webber or a holly.
Or another option EFI any setup i could mod.. to fit the eninge and then turbo.
Thanks for all you help
Daniel
The man to talk to would be Amazer - he had had two different turbo kombi's, both of which performed very well - he knows alot about what you are planning to do.
I was looking at this myself for a long time injectors, throttle bodies, turbo, programable computer, dyno time it will be cheaper, easier, more powerful and reliable to by a WRX 1/2 cut and stick it in. Sell the type 4and do some reading in the conversions forum it wont be a volkswagen any more but it isnt anyway.
Yeah thought about that but being that it is going into an eureka that weigths around 800Kg it is illigal (N.S.W) to have anything like a WRX enigne in it. I will be pushing to get this road legal
There are other Subarus than a WRX.
Use a 2.2 from a liberty (130HP), a 2.5 from a Forester 160 HP) or even an older EA series engine from an 80's model Subie.
