We have power, but the engine wont kick over.

Husband thinks it might be something to do with Distributor
anyone got any ideas?

ok start with the basics does it have spark, to check this pull a spark plug lead and hold it closes to where it it plugs in the distributor cap, after that theres fuel going in to the carb
