Custom exhaust is going to get exy (trust me I know) for the type IV - so looking at what is readily available is certainly the right thing to do. The sponsors who advertise on the forum (banner up top) is a good start (eg. mickmotors, classic vw etc).

Here is my custom system from http://www.cesracing.com.au  in brissy for type IV (in my beetle though):

Rob Bliss used to do good work. Rumour has it they are under new management, but not sure.
