Changing Brake Drum Wheel Stud Pattern
bluescorpion - July 27th, 2005 at 10:47 PM

Is it possible to re-drill a beetle brake drum to change the wheel stud pattern. I am looking at the option of changing them to Toyota/Nissan 6 stud pattern to fit 15"x10" sunraisier rims on the rear of a Baja as I am having trouble locating this size rim with a Volkswagen stud pattern. I currently have (4) 15"x10" size sunraisier rims in Toyota/Nissan pattern lying in the shed that can be used if this conversion can be done. Any help appriciated , Cheers Trent.

Hi,
Yes but you must use a blank drum / hub for it. You can buy them for $440 a pr already done in Toyota PCD.

If you drill 4 stud drums / hubs it will firstly be illegal, secondly not be safe.

Toyota offset will work fine.
