So I've got the 165x45 tires on the front now and they're awesome, but I've got some problems with the framehead's proximity to the ground. I cut
off the tow-point on the beam ('71 bug) but it seems now that the bottom lip of the framehead is the real offender.
Has anyone with a low bug had to modify the bottom of the framehead in any way?
ps: I've got dropped spindles too and will be putting the adjustable beam in once I can get a bit more clearence.

You can see that there's plenty of room to move now inside the guards, which is awesome, but the temptation to go lower is hard to resist (especially
after seeing Sam and Adam's awesome early bugs scrape their arses all the way from Newcastle!)

Where are the Oil-drippers when you need them?
I dont think it would remove any intergity, but i would seam weld over where you grind. or sell it and get sa pre 67 and scrape all you want haha.
Then theres allways a body drop..............
ruckus, this is a common prob for ball joint fronts, I can only suggest if you wanna go seriously low(which I know u do!) mabye a link pin pan is the way to go, unless you can change the framehead to a l/p one, dont know on tha one. Those tyres did look good on that fat girl, and would help get a l/p front way down there(i love little tyres) I can tell you who to talk to about your ball joint set up though. Get on the hoodride forums, and send a private message to either fatchickfranz (this guy is a wiz) or vwomack(lowest fatty on earth) Ive talked to both these guys about shit, and both are true gentlemen.anyway good luck, hope to see it on the ground by jamboree!. Josh.
