Hey there !!!
Ive got a 69 beetle with disc front end and am trying to change the original stud pattern to holden 5 stud pattern . I know there is an adapter made for the older 5 stud vw type but any help with parts or prices even someone who can supply would be great . Cheers

Some advice: Not as easy - or as cheap - as it looks. Discs and drums will require changing to aftermarket jobbies that will accept a 5-hole stud pattern... do you want to know more?

Do it properly

I went through this recently, was told the adaptors I was having machined were QLD approved and legal for road use, even bought rims ready for the pattern I was going to change to. THEN I did some research:

While the DMT states that a vehicle with approved, properly attached adaptors will pass a RSC, it's the insurance that is the problem. I have not found a single insurer that will cover a vehicle with bolt on stud adaptors.

The law states that a vehicles rims must be attached directly to the vehicle without the use of adaptors or spacers.

In the end, the ONLY approved and safe method is to have new blank discs/drums studded to the pattern you want. Volks conversions cost $440 a pair, supplied studded to any pattern you choose.
