he hee, hadn't looked at this for a long while, and years later it still cracks me up. SK8 board bearings and too much spare time.....worked out
well, positioned it for excellent heel/toe use and it's been going strong for years (my friends still think i'm mad tho :kiss)

I did a similar thing, I was driving my bug and it felt like it had no power on closer inspection the little steel lever thingy was pushing into the accelerator lever and not allowing full travel so i removed the pedal, enlarged the hole with a right angle drill and installed a bolt and a complete skateboard wheel with bearings, ala oval roller pedal, works a treat. Was hard to get used too at first but it is awesome, you can feel the wheel roll under foot also acts as a good foot massage when your driving bare foot.
roller pedals pfffttt
just piss the standard pedal off and there u have it a roller pedal LOL
on 2 of my shitter bugs at work the pedal hinges have rusted off the floor pans so all u can press down is the roller
a real PITA to get used to

ah ok i;ve never owned any 6volt bugs myself
2nd syncro in my first bug was pretty tradgic so i learnt to heal tow double clutch and its a habit i cant seem to break now, something im sure would
be a mission to do with the old roller pedals
