flogged out rear wheel bearing covers?
pete wood - July 27th, 2009 at 11:11 AM

Just pulled the rear wheel bearings on one side to find that the outer bearing seems ok, but is moving a little in the cover. What's the fix for this? Can I just thin (by sanding with wet and dry) the cover a little so it gets a better hold on the bearing?

is this an IRS rear axle??
are You talking about the spacer?? between the bearings?

bearing Housing??

I don't think wet & dry will thin steel...
more like a file... very carefully...
