bajachris88 - December 16th, 2010 at 11:21 AM

Hi guys,

probably been asked a million times...
I can't see any reverse light switch output on the kombi box. Is that normal/kool?

I just got a 69 bug with early 1600 3 rib irs kombi box.

This won't be a prob for rego hey?

thanks
Chris.

Aus vws aren't required to have them before 72 so you will be right without them.

That said US had them since the mid 60s so nearly all gearboxes have a blank plug on the nosecone where you can fit them if you wanted

If You have reverse lights on Your beetle they will probably be tested...
so, maybe use red and amber tail lamps...
once you add the reverse lamps in the bottom...
they will probably want them to work...

cheers
