Just wondering if anyone has a list of Kombi gearbox codes and the ratios?

I have two boxes....details are:

3 rib (1600 box i think??)

CE 099 2826

5 rib (1800??)
002.301.103 F

Take it all with a grain of salt but!

My 1968 1500 beetle transmission is not working, where is the gearbox code located on the gear box? Can I read it while the gearbox is in situ?
