Does any one have this? I would like EFI on a 1600 TP and thought this may be the go say Mexicam running gear with a aftermarket controller.
I seem to remember Dave toying with this some years ago? Mitchell
I don't think mexican beetles had EFI??
and most EFI beetles in the USA have been changed to carby and the heads with small valves replaced..
they also had a habit of catching on fire...
but a mexican engine with EFI from something later would probably be ok

theres a fair bit of discussion about it on shoptalk.
Mitch yep the hard ware is Ok manifolds pumps and regulators etc etc
but you could fit bigger injectors and aftermarket Putor
I like the potential of this idea. I assume that the intake runners would strangle the motor on a larger capacity mtor. Would that be correct?
Other tha that loads cheaper than other FI options I have been looking at, like the CB kit and local manufacturers like Injection perfection etc.

I was also thinking that this could be a viable alternative, http://www.cbperformance.com/catalog.asp?ProductID=278, as it seems to eliminate the need for an aftermarket computer like a Haltech. Anyone have any knowledge of these systems and how they perform?
Barls thanks for the links
Cam that alternative is USELESS at least the link is. Mitchell
Is this it?

what about an MS ecu? aren't they around 250-300 mark?
You dont need a dyno to tune, just add in the cost for a wideband o2 sensor and most systems will auto tune to target a/f ratios these days on the street. Even the cheap charlie Megasquirt system of mine does that.
