Fuses '68 German Beetle?
hulbyw - July 22nd, 2012 at 09:10 PM
A wire seems to have come off the terminal on the fuse closest to the outside of the car. The Bentley manual is no help. Anyone able to tell me what
colour wire should be connected on the power out side and what it powers? (and no, there are no spare wires lying around in the vicinity in case
anyone asks)
Cheers......wayne

Hi Wayne,
looking at a coloured wiring diagram for Australian cars 68-70 there are NO wires going to the last fuse..
its for accessories from memory.. Radio etc.. it looks like its Live all the time..
same as on all the circuit diagrams I looked at. German & USA
cheers

Hi again,
Bentley manual won't help as North Americian beetles had a different wiring system to other countries.
I don't know why they went to all that trouble.
although they did have parking lights inside the blinkers on the guards..
but they used different hazard light switches and blinker units.
