Brakes for early dub with ej22 in it.

So iam currerntly in the middle of putting a ej22 into my 60's beetle(have the car stripped and have all the parts ready to do the engine/rad ect. Its kingpin front and drums all round.

I know its going to differ depending on what engineer but what have people gone in the past in terms of braking?
I know most of the aftermarket kits from oversea's are questionable.

Is it something i need to have upgraded for engineer slip or can i just throw in a dual master system a few stronger wheel cylinders or maybe even just go to type 3 rears.

Also i have a haltech that came off a forester that i want to put in to run it, i do have the subie ecu but its so much work to convert the harness, has anyone had any experience with having a car engineered with a ecu?

Any advice would be great! Thankyou
