what is a power tr unit ? subaru

I have a wiring diagram that states ignitor is this the power tr uint ? stamped on top ?:jesus:bounce:alien

You did say your 1/2 cut was from an auto, right? That black 'power tr' box is likely to be the automatic transmission unit.

On my motor (Jap DOHC n/a manual) the ignitor connects between the ECU and the coils (which are integral with the sparkplug caps) and is an aluminium box with a connector either side.
