rear

exwrx - September 23rd, 2004 at 11:42 AM

Seagull, looks very neat.

One question though, is there likely to be a heat problem due to the exhaust wrapping so tightly around the engine?

Maybe ceramic coating and/or heatwrap may help?

Not being critical, just trying to learn. :)

seagull - September 23rd, 2004 at 08:20 PM

Ok the photos show the muffler * siting very close to the covers , there is a red pen holding the unit away from the covers ( all I could find at the time ) the muffler will be spaced away from the covers to aid cooling .I have also one more flange to add to the outlet of the cat as the left side <
the muffler has two 90 deg bends 180deg spaced apart so you can get to the spark plugs easy .The cat is spaced off as well , cheers seagull

O this is not in a car its in my trike * and yes I am very mad * :)

Jenny - September 29th, 2004 at 12:53 PM

What's the muffler inlet diameter, looks a lot like my alloy GPz900R ones thay I kept when I traded it in ... think they are 2 1/4"?

seagull - September 29th, 2004 at 11:45 PM

Hi jenny , the size is Dn 50mm or 2"

Is that an eaton m62????

I like the idea alot....who made the manifold, is a standard one modified and made taller or does someone actually make it.....I can run it after the turbo.

Matt

hazet - October 4th, 2004 at 09:16 AM

Yes it is M62.Made for the ej22
The kit came out of CAPA in SA,the manifold came with it.
Very nicely put together
All you have to shift is the alternator
