What does anyone think of this as a good buy or not??? Any comments would be appreciated before I make a bid on it.

Cheers.

All of the people I have talked to about the twin turbo swap into a totally different car from the subaru itself have said to stay away from them. They present many different problems. With the location of some of their parts and the basic tune of the engine and computer itself.

The performance guys seem to steer clear of the twin turbo and infact they tend to convert to single turbo when looking for bigger HP. I think the reason is that turbo upgrades are hard to do due to the way the ECU controls the turbos on the TT and no aftermarket ECU is capable of that? Having said that, I think the TT would be ideal if the conversion was going to be left in the stock form and using the standard ECU. There may be some problems fitting the TT into a beetle but I'm pretty sure it's been done before.
I don't know if they suffer from lifter noise as the RS Liberty did? Have a look around some Subaru forums. I use http://www.rslibertyclub.org
good luck.

Thanks for the advice guys. I decided not to go with this motor and just have the one turbo. Gonna pick up a half cut so will get all I need plus some!!

Cheers,

Mike.
