will be there on the week-end

took it down the road ,and i`m very happy with it
it`s got so much power it`s nearly scary
the td05 turbo kicks in about 4000rpm and it feels like a powerband on a 2 strock motorbike
heaps of power pelow 4000rpm when just normal driving
so you only hit the scary stuff when you up it
091 gearbox and 265/75/16 tryes (32 inch) works well, seems like average gearing in any 4 speed car
cooling seems ok(only drove up/down road for about 20min.)
next step, get some lights working and try it on the highway.
will take more pics today, sorry for ranting on

Sweet...I know what it is like to go for a drive in a EJ20T powered VW....A buggy must be mad!

I love it!

Went and had a look and listen today. Awesome machine .....very impressive. It's interesting to see some of the solutions Andrew has devised which are different to others I've seen. Such as reversing the intake manifold and repositioning the alternator.... no need then for an invertor for the throttle body.

Reversing the manifold is something the rally boys use to do a lot...A lot of work!
An TB inverter might have issues with clearance on a Manx....Do they?
Of course as you noted Glenn you have to move the ALT when you rotate the manifold. Doing it does make it all fit better though....This would be the go for the NA conversions in Bugs and Busses also....

Well done Matt for going this way...Wish I could have done it with my SVX conversion!
