Volksconversions?

Has anyone else had any dealings with John at Volksconversions? I have one of their adaptor plates in my EJ20 powered L series Subaru.

What have your impressions been?

Yeah I got an ej20-vw adaptor plate and some rear discs off him which looked very well made and work great. He was great to deal with and was happy to give me a bit of after sales service.

bought bellhousing/flywheel conversion kit + a front disc conversion too. gave me a discount and free shipping too. dealt with him afterwards trying to do some fault chasing. he was really helpful and good to deal with.

That all sounds pretty good, hate to bash him but I didn't have the best experience, that's why I'm asking.

The adaptor plate needed some serious modifications with the gas axe and after the bits arrived he didn't wanna know me. Oh well, one bad experience doesn't really mean much...

perhaps he was just having a bad day/week....

sure we've all had one of those...

I have spoken to this chap on the phone. He has been very helpful.
I do know one person who bought an adaptor plate from John. It also needed modifications to be usable.

I spoke to John on the phone and he was real helpful.

Cant speak for his products as yet. I will, however, be buying a rear disc kit, HD clutch kit and 1UZFE adaptor kit from him.

He is the only adaptor guy i have found to have my kit on the shelf without the need for custom fabrication.
