Does anyone do an abbreviated sump (for ground clearance in a buggy) for a Suburu EJ20 or know of where to get one?
Yes you can get a shallow sump from a group in brissie, also here in Sydney they take your sump and convert it for you.
Now I have not got the names of them but I think I got it through Classic VW Sydney..
Let me know how you go, I am tempted to give it a go converting mine as the production ones will not fit in my bar work..
Good luck..
Anyone had any good experiences with shortened ej20 sumps? Mine leaks like a sieve.
Try Custom Offroad...my shortened EJ sump does not leak and was easy to fit:thumb
Ohh, thats where mine is from.
yes some one on this AVD has had them made for cast ally , soon to be sold in our land down under .I will make a call and see how there getting on , keep an eye on this post !
tell Brad , he would like to know I am sure
think there were some teething probs with the early COR sumps, i bought one recently and i have no complaints, now if only my auto would stop leaking...
I have an EA81, Simmilar or Same sump..?
Although like I was saying I may have to custom mine as my bar work will not accomodate the Custom Offroad ones...
Anything I should keep in mind other that keeping the volume the same and baffles to stop all the oil moving to the front or back..?
Hi,
have an own mould for a very stabile flat oilsump in aluminium cast. The sump gives 5 cm more ground clearance and has fins underneath. You can fill
in nearly the original oil qty. (4,25 litres) and the cooling property is much better than with the original oilpan. The sump costs 295 Euro ex
works.
Am looking for dealers!

Good on ya Brad,
How much are they and do you have them in stock or do you do them to order?
Seems I stepped on someone´s feet.
I don´t mind to be a competitor in quality. I have very good references all over Europe with my products. There were several reports in well known
magazines about my products (VW Speed-D, VWTech-F, UltraVW-UK).
I am a quality auditor and I have very high claims on quality.
What concerns the exhaust I can tell you, that ground clearance is better than with the original one and power is higher. The tubes have all same
length and go in same sequence with the ignition into the collector. The more of power is for the Turbo around 10 PS.
I understand that people are a little sceptic before they have not seen the products. But that´s the reason why I´m looking for a good reliable
agent in Australia.
