gerbie_rox - April 19th, 2005 at 06:02 PM

hi all,

i really want to put a subi engine in my baja
but im not sure what type. if anyone could make some suggestions that would be great thanks.

I would suggest contacting Custom Offroad ( http://www.customoffroad.com.au ) as they do these conversions regularly....alternatively have a look in the non-vw engine conversion section on this forum and post a question there.

The EJ 22 is the best option for ground clearance, size, weight, simplicity and fuel economy.
It is an easy fit and works well.

You can also look at some of your smaller V6 such as the KLZE in Wes's Baja.

Do you want simplicity or someting different ?

um i dunno really. i know doing a conversion that sumone else has
already done would be gr8 becasue i can ask advice but something fairly
unique would also be good.

then go with an EJ22

Just wondering what actual Subaru car the EJ22 comes out of?

I'm not familiar with subaru engines??

Thanx,

Does the ej22 come in a turbo model?
Or won't that be good offroading?
