just wondering if anyone recons i can use a VW reg with the stock alt on my subi? i cant seem to find the original subi reg, and i have a feeling that the car may have been using a VW one when i got it. do you recon this is possible?

you shure its not internal in the alternator?

not completely, it is a hitachi alt, according to the manual the earlier models are not internal. any way i can tell if it is?

tis a subi alt (to match engine) has a 2pin plastic plug plus a screw which has the big red lead which goes to the starter on it.
