Hi there
Has anyone seen an ej22 in a type 3? what kind of work is required to fit it?
Just out of curiosity!:thumb
Anyone??
a notch ?
Probably fit into a fastback the easiest.
Humpty's (?) brother put a Turbo ej20 in a notch ages ago and he has some pics on his site http://www.noh2o.org/frameset.htm?section=content/members_cars.htm
I'm not sure if the engine lid needs to be proped up or not?
And as for the squareback I have seen on the web a site with details about someone that fitted an ej22 into one- but i can't find that link now
sorry.
Cheers
Jeremy
where did he put the radiator?
Same as a bug spare wheel well.
youve got tons of room in the spare tire well to fit a radiator in a type 3. alot easier than putting a radiator in a bug

its a girl! haha.
ya, i went through the phase you are going through. keep it stock and original, or mod it. but i knew it was the car ive always wanted, so i didnt
plan on selling it, and just wanted to do what i wanted with it. i think you should do whatever you want with it.
im lower than you :P haha
That looks very cool rubyred!
I'd like the same kind of look but with widened original rims and nipple hub caps!
Hi,
No pics but I have looked into it and can offer the conversion for the same price as a beetle / buggy if you do decide to go ahead with it but
don't want to do it yourself.
I am pretty sure we have one to do later in the year already.
hey brad, one issue you might run into with later model type 3s like ours is the lack of frame horns. youd either have to weld in irs pivots, or make
a custom rear engine hanger.
just a little FYI
with the type 3s you have a ton of room up front for a radiator and tons of room in the back which makes for an easy conversion.
