Hand me my polishing tool.............
Jak Rizzo - May 5th, 2005 at 08:27 AM

When I lift my lid, people are impressed..........but if it looked like this................

This is my mates 2.5 Litre engine in the States, it's going in the back of 56 Oval show car. Rated for 350hp American, might be 280hp Australian. His daily driver has a N/A 2.2 twin cam.
Love those carbon fibre cam covers!

Now where did I put my dremel?

regards
Jak

Wow!!! Why would you ever buy a hot vw motor, when for half the price you could have one of these, and only 4 spark plugs!

Do you have a pic of the car as well?

Fatmax.

after spending way too much time mostly polishing my intake and valve covers only, I can say that guy has way way way too much spare time :)

Wonder how the turbo will go with the 2.5's single cam heads and shallower combustion chamber and valve angle ?

Very pretty engine - I thought it was an EJ22 until I reread your post.

You have some interesting friends Jak....

Jak Rizzo - May 5th, 2005 at 11:15 AM

Nice Jak, show n go.
The EJ 2.5 (turbo) short block is available here for $3200AU, brand new straight out of the states. Just fit all the EJ20 heads etc.

Spoke to my mate last night about making the cam covers... I will try and get a set made this week and post a pic..

I have the 2.0 quad cam twin turbo, does that cover fit my engine?

boof2332 - May 8th, 2005 at 08:18 AM

The one I will make will be a copy off my ones that are on the car..so they will be ej20t.

Where would I be able to get an alloy oil filler neck and cap like the one in pics (i think the WRX STI has it stock but not sure). Tried ebay but no luck there.
