There is absolutely no reason to cut that much out, I cut out bugger all & If I was ever to do it again I would cut out even less.
I still have complete access to my intercooler, turbo, clutch cable etc.

Jak, do you have any pictures showing how much you cut out? I also want to cut the absolute minimum and it would be good to see what others have
done...

Not the best pics Rich, but u can see that I could have cut even less, the benefit of not cutting out all the parcel tray is that it acts as a bit of
a heat sheild from the exhaust, turbo & the first radiator for my intercooler.

covered it all afterwards inside and how you got enough strength back into the inner wings for the valance and bumper mounts.

I don't have any pics of the rear box that covers the intercooler. I also don't have any pics of the rear bracing, but it's probably a little over
engineered. I have a 2 inch by 1 inch steel box section under the rear frame horns that goes diagonally up to the underside of the parcel shelf.
inside the car I have 100mm x 100mm , 5mm thick steel sections welded to the inside of the rear parcel shelf & also vertically to the rear inner
guards. The bracing bolts to this. Then I have a 2 x 1 inch box section going up & under the rear window so that the stress or force if u will is
spread over a larger area. Don't know if it works or not but the rear of the car didn't move at all on the dyno, whereas my 2275cc engine with no
bracing could move the frame horns about an inch & a half!.

I cut out similar amounts to steve although not quite back to the lip that the rear seat sits on. I then got a big bit of sheet steel and got the
local metal guy to fold and cut the sides as per the stencil I drew on it and spot weld the fold, making a great looking box section that perfectly
sits behind the seat.

Does the G50 shift end up above the tunnel? Are you considering a shifter similar to a certain maroon German Looker from Europe?
You didn't muck around with the grinder! I notice the cut brake lines.

I’m using the stock G50 shifter, but I will need to alter the shift rod, the brake lines would have been too short as they have to go over the top
of the trans.
