dimensions and weights of subaru engines!!!!
subaruboxer - November 6th, 2005 at 03:32 AM
Took a few minutes to measure the following engines today. I tried to be as accurate as possible.
If you check your enginebay for fitting one of the engines, you have to add 1,0 - 1,2 cm to the length for the adapter plate.
Cheers

that's some good info. Where did you get the weights from, and what was attached to the engines when they were weighed?

Hi Wes,
the weights are from SAE Technical Papers, Subaru brochures etc. I don't know what was attached when they were weighed.
I had my EJ 20 on the scale, without the clutch , without
the flywheel and without the altenator and it was 90 kg .
With all the parts added, it is pretty close to the weight listed in the SAE papers, i think it are the complete engines.
