i have heard from someone doing a V8 conversion on a hilux (lion 253) that he needs an lpg setup on the car to pass over the pits(car is currently
unlicenced). his reason is that any V8 conversion (where there was never a V8 model in production) now needs one...
is this a case of misconception or is it true
if this is true this is really guna fuck me up eh, my V8 cant run on gas :puke
plus its guna cost another $1700 plus having a but ugly tank behind the rear seat!!!

If you are in QLD then this is not true ....
have heard of something like this in nsw ,but the truth in it who knows ,just ring your local rta tech guys they will tell you
no it's not the case......
but the motor or car needs to have all the emission control set-up of it's year....what ever is newer
eg. a '89 motor into a '70's car you would use the motors year.....or a '70's motor into a '85 car you would use to 1985 emission control
set-up..... follow ?
So putting an old 253 into a hilux would be hard to put the right E/control on so it easyer to run Gas.....
