I have read alot about about Subaru engine swap`s on your web site I think it`s great well what I am trying to do is put an 1993 ej22e with 99k for mile`s into my old Trike with a 1966 Vw drivetrain as my old VW MOTOR has about had it...

Ok today I went and got the 1993 ej22e motor to find there was no ecu with it but the yard has a 1992 Legacy with the ecu and all the wire`s will it work on the 93 next thing I need too know is what I an going to need off the car to make it all work and where on the car it is like the ecu inside and with wire`s and what I will have to get from under the hood...

I order the the engine adapter kit today so I hope it will be on the way soon...

I also need to know I can lose off the engine as I will not need ACand what have u as it is a trike after I get the motor cleaned up I can jacked up into place to see where the water line`s need to go as well as where Im going to put the ecu again any help you all can give me in this matter would be great...

The leagacy ej20 is not the ecu you need it will not work

to save me typing have a llok here by doing a search > top left of page with post by me Ie put in seagull , conversions .

you can remove the air con & if you ask at the wreckers they may have the pressed metal braket the the GX ( liberty came out with with out air con ) this will save you about 4 kgs of weight out the rear .

dont for get you need ( all the parts ) to make the motor run or you will be in more shit than the first setlers .

In short if the motor does not have all the wiring with it , go to another yard .you will end up looking for bits all over the place .flow meter , ignighter, ecu , key to start it ( some have transponder keys ( mine did )
