Cooler and a long Hood
hutmacherjunk - April 10th, 2006 at 03:24 AM

Hello, yesterday i buyed a BMW cooler.... Fits great. But whow can i make the air supply? Where should i make some holes and how big must they beee (~cm²) ?? My Problem is that the car is an 57 Oval with a long Hood -theres not much place for Holes or slots hmmm please help meee ; ) I hope somebody has done the same conversion and can give me some good tips or maybe a picture... Is there something to attend with the air-flow? i want to use an Spal ventilator is that ok?
I´ve a bit fear of that the Motor--EJ22- gets to hot (the car is at time at restauration and needs a new paint when finished.. but when the Motor gets to hot...)
Thanks for your help and greetings from Germany, Michael

I have a radiator from a BMW 6 cylinder up front to cool my EJ20 TT and only have to put on the fan in heavy traffic.
I cut out part of the front apron and mounted a simple metal air scoop underneath.
I do plan however on putting in a high performance radiator that has more rows and thus better cooling and put in a new stock style front apron.

What for a radiator will you use? Than you put the original front without any holes? Sorry for my bad english....
