i have alot of pictures for send you
i forget i have change everything in my engine, and it have 2 radiators, the best will be send you pictures becouse my english i have forget it.
thank you very much
my hotmail adress is
ernestora2@hotmail.com
I like the exhaust pipe position
If I'm right, the radiators are in the back, next the engine. is that correct?
I'm don't think this is very good. How is the hot air getting out? It is better to put the radiator at the front, or underneath as other people here
in Australia have.
i have two radiators, one in the back and anotherone underneath, and i think that you ask is very logical,
i bourht it with 3 ventilators, two of them in the back, but ihave one of them of,i thing that it is the reason that gets hot
thank you very muck,i will try conecting 3 ventilator for airfresh.
do you have a scoop for the underneath radiator? do you have fans on either radiator? if you have fans maybe check which way they are blowing, but i think if you are only having trouble outside the city then you have no shrouds or your shrouds are not good so when you get to higher speeds the air oges past the radiators rather then through them.
take a look at helbus's pictures of his underneath radiatorto see about shrouds.

for helbus
sabes hablar español?
i don´t know for what is that
header tank I got made up which will hold about 2.5 litres of water also and eliminate water locks. It looks like a spaceship and is the size of a
2litre bottle of softdrink but fatter.
do you think that for my engine i need only one pump?the ford pump
i think that my problem is that the underneath radiator have a fan under radiator nor over,i want to say that i have the fan down and may will have to
be upper the radiator
i love your bus helbus, very nice
The header tank is to give the top position for filling water and to allow the water in the system to 'burp'
The one pump should be enough. If you feel it is not enough, there are electric waterpumps available.
The radiator for my bus is the size suitable for 3.0 litre motor.
i will tell my engineer, your help me alot, thank you very much, tomorrow i will try,and when i take knew pictures i put it here
helbus, where can i buy the metal thing around de radiator???,
i have the fan down the radiator and you have it up
its important thing???
i use to break the expansion glass(i dont konw whats the name in english,in spanish is vaso de expansion),i dont know why, gets alot of presion or it
is very small or samething
Pressure is important. The pressure in the system stops boiling of water until high temperature. The vaso de expansion is expansion bottle. When the
system is hot the water goes out. When it is cool the water goes back into system. This is important too.
The metal shroud around the radiator is made by sheet metal fabrication. The fan up or down has some small differences. The important feature is fan
drawing cool air. The fan must not draw air in rotation from the same place the air is pushed into. You do not want the air to be warm already before
it goes through the radiator. In a circuit is not good.
for your rear radiator, have you ever tried ttaking the back engine door off the car to see how that effects cooling?
no,never, but everything is new in my engine,i fix the engine, and radiators, expansions bottle, fans, everyting, now my engineer is conecting the other
radiator and conecting the other two fan and iwill try again,
thank you every body, your help me alot
hi again...along time ago .i have not visit thiis forum...
hi from spain
in spain i use to be in
http://www.camperdiem.es
http://www.tipo2.com
i have a question.anybody in spain can help me...
my gear shift has broken,
i have a gear shift vw 1.6cc but my engine is ford 2.000cc ohc
i have a problem becouse my engine doesn´t have power enough when i going up...like 20,40 km/h
do you think that my ford 2000cc will work better with gear shift 2000cc???
thank you very much
We need to make sure we understand what your problem is.
When you say your gear shift is broken, I think you mean your transmission (or gear box) is broken. The "gear shift" is the part used to change
gears. The gear box is the part that the engine bolts to, and has the gears inside.
So you have a 1600 type 2 gear box at the moment. It will be geared very low. So at 100kph your RPM (engine speed) will be quite high. This is good if
your engine does not have much power.
Your ford 2000cc engine should have enough power to go up hills. If it can only go quite slow, then perhaps you need a new engine.
A 2000cc type 2 gear box has taller gearing. So at 100kph your RPM will be lower. This is better for highway driving, but you need more power to use
the taller gearing. You will have more problems on hills if you don't have enough power from the engine.
baja wes thank you very much..you understand me very well..
i forgot my english...i lived in daytona beach 11 years ago..along time...
i thing that you are ok..you have the reason i need a new engine my ford 2.000cc may from ford sierra or taunus i think have no power...
do you know if somebody else here have a vw t2 with ford engine like mine???
thank you very much
I'm not sure exactly what engine that is, but I think it should have as much power as a 2L VW motor. It should go up hills, unless your car is really
heavy.
Are you sure your Ford engine is actually 2000cc?
yes it is 2.000cc ford ohc ,ford sierra, ford taunus,...but the carburator is a 1.600cc i don´t know why...
my vw t2 is very heavy
