i mean these type 2 boxes on the rancho site, prices look pretty much same for t1 or t2. maybe a bit more but would be a lot stronger

GTMac - June 21st, 2006 at 09:43 PM

Guys if you find out what a complete unit is worth, please let me know.

seagull - June 21st, 2006 at 11:13 PM

From what I can make out > there is little market in the US for kombi boxes for drag racing , so the bigest selling item is the IRS single side plate box with a type 2 flange

First I would like to thank Paul B ( in wa ) for his time ( or maybe his work time ) for calling Rancho .
We have bassed or call on Jaks bug running a 3.9 open diff

The so the run down is

3.9 super diff 4 spider with chrome molly pinon
weled 3& 4 sincros
Super hard keys fitted
HD side plate
& I think paul got down here sway away axels

Price Au$2200.00 + 5% + freight ( very close to it any way )
Paul will conferm above

I have price the type 2 box down under ( albens gears ) super diff & it comes to over $4000.00 + there is a shortage on stock gears & bits

yeah but i meant, if you look on the rancho site under transaxles, alongside the the irs type 1 boxes, there is an irs pro bus trans pictured. have you asked about these because there doesnt seem too much of a price difference between the type 1 and bus trans from rancho.

71superbug - June 22nd, 2006 at 09:19 PM

I going to see if I can get a Rino HD case with this build up .This is due to the core charge on the box ( in the above price ) we are paying for the second had case so I will see if they have a $ adder for the Rino unit .I ( we ) think its worth the $ > just say yes Lucas

71 super bug & GTMac

In good faith

* we * have no problem is adding to the order but I will tell you up front

Once its worked out on the box selection we need to pay up front for the boxes .I will have to get the data firm from Rancho the build & let you guys know what you get for your $ .

My plan is to ship the boxes Air freight from the usa to Perth , splitting the cost with all .GTmac I can then foward on your by road freight to your door .

* we * are to date those that are firm ( ish )

Paul = pro street 3.88
Lucas = pro comp 3.88
Simon = pro comp 3.88 ( i think )
Neil = Pro comp 3.8

malcolm - June 25th, 2006 at 01:16 PM

when my mate went to the states he found the best gears they were using came from oz albins offroad .

seagull - June 25th, 2006 at 11:59 PM

That is correct , they take just about 90% of the stock for The us market
so leaving us to buy from the usa .

I did buy a 2ltr kombi box today & a G50

nothing like throwing a $$$ of them in the wind for this type of running gear .

malcolm - June 26th, 2006 at 12:02 AM

how much for the G50 and would the adaptor be the same to ej20

malcolm - June 26th, 2006 at 12:02 AM

G50 5spd or 4spd

seagull - June 26th, 2006 at 12:13 AM

5 speed

+ 1 x 4x4 box ( dont tell any one )

72RSbug - June 26th, 2006 at 04:36 AM

I live in Belgium so shipping was fast and inexpensive for me
