Just drop the CR, add boost and your away Neil........... There are a couple of really good turbos you can add to that engine to seriously wake it up as well. lemme know if ur interested.
A very good engine to play with.

However, altho a worthy successor to, they will always look up at the mighty FJ20det! Just cant beat the horrible and unsophisticated mechanical sound coming from these chain driven animals wailing away at 8 grand! Heheheheheh!

I haver fond memories of those early Bluebirds. Many incorrectly refer to them as a Datsun Fairlady which was the 1500 nose picking toy.

A good M8 of mine had one and in the days I was building quick V6 Capris, his Bluebird gave me many a run for my money! Itr would stick it up Lotus Twin Cam Eskies easy as!
Jeezuss that thing would howl!

I got a $5.00 turbo for it today , making the adapter plate & fly wheel now stainless steel pipe work in the box as well .

The SR20 front cuts are going for $2500.00 , so thats cheap ?

Umm, the Bluebird name was applied to sedans, beginning with the PL310. It has never been used for sports cars or roadsters. The Bluebird name continued to be used through 2001.

the Fairlady name was applied to sports cars beginning with the 55HP Sport 200 roadster in 1962. In 1967 the SR311 was built using the 150HP U20 engine which was the result of engineering acquired through Nissan's merger with Prince. The Fairlady name continues to be used, most recently on the 350Z sports car.
