there was some sort of medium sized sedan from memory too, I might be wrong, but I remember it was a bit smaller than a toyota camry from memory.

not turbo so must be blue bird , I have one now !

barls - July 17th, 2006 at 04:58 PM

some of the gti r pulsars were naturally aspirated so it could be one of them

71superbug - July 17th, 2006 at 05:33 PM

does it have quad throttle bodies neil?

if so then i believe it is out of the GTIR

thats what distinguished them from the silvia/180sx ones so much and allowed them to make more power.

I don't think so dude. The GTiR was built especially for the WRC. That's like saying you can buy a non turbo WRX, they don't exist. The pulsars, or almeras as the poms called em, came out as 2 doors overseas, but all the GTiRs were turbo 4wds. They are actually very good cars, it was just the intercooler placement that wrecked them. The rally guys used to call them "interwarmers". It's a shame that nissan didn't fix the issue. They might have been a lot more competitive.

But I have a non turbo wrx sitting in my drive way Its a ej20 quad cam .

O I have two of them :)

71superbug - July 18th, 2006 at 01:36 PM

it would more than likely be an RX then neil.

WRX's were only ever turbo.

Thanks Mate , the motor is in the shed , the box stripped , ally going to sims < steel back to china

bajaben - July 23rd, 2006 at 04:40 AM

how does the engine fit compared to a rwd straight four? would it be wider and shorter in the engine bay? and does it sit east west? i would think that if it did it might make an awesome engine for a beetle even better if it torques down towards the gearbox which i would assume it wouldn't

seagull - July 24th, 2006 at 01:04 AM

I missed out on geting a two wheel drive gear box .There was about 10 motors as new done about 50 meters before the car hit the wall of death .

The motor I have not weighed but its going in the Frame buggy for the sand , another project I have .

I have a turbo set up for it as well here on the shelf , but that will kill gear boxes .
