EJ inlet manifold from filter
ElusiveStranger - July 21st, 2006 at 12:38 AM

I do not have the Subaru manifold from the filter -> MAF -> throttle body. What have you guys & girls used? Is rain water pipe (PVC) suitable?

I'm using the COR invertor, cheers Brad :thumb

Hellbus, do you have any other photos of yours except for the ones on your project thread?

Thanks Seagull.
Is that a 'proper' Subaru part or a custom fabrication?
As I said earlier I don't have (or have seen) any of the standard Scooby intake manifolds.
All I have is the TB & MAF

Those brackets are available from Autobarn and speed shops. Just ask for a pod adapter to suit Subaru.

I have used the conduit style pipe available from auto shop, you buy it in metre length and cut to size, can bend it in any shape you want. Or you can get pre-formed silicon bends from auto shops/ebay along with some stainless steel joiners/reducers.

For ducting etc..the cheapest is non perferated ag-line. $28 for 5 or 10m at bunnings. You can use stainless pipe, ally or stock exhaust pipe. I thermo wrap mine anyway, finding cold air to the pod is hard enough without having it heated back up again.

I do not know about the N/A engines, although the greatest power increase I got short or turning up boost, was to lengthen the intake pipe. Jak experienced the same gains for just about $0 dollars... the velocity made heaps more torque.
