Not VW - Lotus conversion
Bizarre - August 28th, 2006 at 09:43 AM

Thought you conversion engineers might like this one

My mate use to own the silver Elise. He now owns the purple one.
118 ponies in a 700kg car that handles like rollers skates

Anyway he sold it and the bloke that bought it has a conversion place.

They put 1600 Honda super charged motors in

On Saturday they ran 1.40's round Eastern Creek

This is GT3 territory
Puts out 280 ponies.
He took it round for a drive and reckons it is easily sub 4 0-100kms and VERY well mannered

In a similar style, an MX5 with a Mazda KLZE V6, and individual throttle bodies.

In the UK more people use the Civic type R engine that has a good 200bhp as standard. What I would prefer is the Audi TT engine swap that they regularly tweek to 350bhp with minimal mods..
