i heard the ej20tt's have a terrible lag in between the first and second turbo spooling.

definately wouldnt be my choice of engine

Thats the problem

you heard it

Mates has 223kw at the wheels

yes but power isnt everything neil...you should know that.

also rode in a liberty b4 which had one of those ej20tt's and witnessed it myself.

if you had a aggressive typ1 or typ4 with an aggressive cam and go to the limit from the engine, i thing it´s also nothing better .
they runs under 3500-4000 no good .
so i think it´s not a realy problem with the tt.
if the lag is to big , i choose to paralel turbo.

yeah. im not trying to turn you off your conversion though mo1303 as im sure you could get it tuned out just saying my experiences with them and stock ecu.

mo 1303 - September 27th, 2006 at 11:11 PM

it´s not the easy way with stock ecu .....
but i´m frightend for aftermarket stand alone systems.
is the cold start and the idle with aftermarket ecu good .....?
what do you think ,what aftermarket ecu is good for subi engines ?

1916 - September 27th, 2006 at 11:15 PM

theres a whole host of aftermarket ecu's. microtech is probably the most widely tuned ecu out there.
