What type of buggy and how long are your wires??? Mine is in the back "spare" tyre well (Manx) if i was to have a second stab at it i would put it in the front under the dash.I've got a large stainless box over mine so it is pretty safe. Might move mine one day....would just feel better knowing it is higher up and more out of the way....

up side down and as high as possible against the lid of the old battery box in mine. as you may or may not know. I recently drowned mine on the way to valla in the rain. Whereever you put it, make sure it's the last bit to hit by the water as the car goes under.

Its a LWB suapsports, and will be using a COR wiring harness.
I was thinking of making a sealed box, an putting it behind the roll cage at the back.......

wherever it goes, it needs to be high up and protected. someone correct me if I am wrong, but i was led to believe sealed boxes are not a great idea. apparently the computer can heat up quite a bit, a vent is a good idea. but again I say, someone correct me if I am wrong.

Sorry left out a not before. :o

The wheel well or battery box is a great area, close to the engine and reasonably protected. I wouldnt totally seal it off as you'll only end up cooking it. I have drilled a few holes under mine and its raised off the floor 10mm or so, so if water does make its way in there, it drains out straigt away. I little bit of moisture exposure isnt going to hurt it every once in a while.
