Watercooling solution
FlyBy - September 27th, 2006 at 08:27 AM

Hi volks,

I'm pretty new in this topic, started building my bug with an EJ22 and might have found a few good solutions for the Watercooling, if the picture is shown below. The part on top is cut off on the back side and welded back together so it shows towards the front end of the car. Even more, the hose towards the overflow tank is now towards the top, should be the highest part of the cooling system! And second of all at the bottom of the engine the normal way of the water is to the passenger side and in a 90 gegree angel towards the front, yet you can take the outlet of a turbo model wich has a twisted plate so bolted on a EJ22 Motor it faces directly towards the front, and with a little bit of coating it goes directly between the oilpan and the exhaust! so you just have to add almost straight pipes and now curves at all!

Hope someone found it interresting ;)

By the way, the Exhaust is a custom made with original yet shortend "beginning", original KAT?!? and a peugoet 205 GTI damper?!? ( need to get some topic related vocabulary together :D)

cool. thanx. you might want to shorten your sump (oilpan).

Nice exhaust too.

damper = muffler. :)
