hey guys. need some basic assistance here.

i have a type3 that has been converted to rotary before. but right now is standard nothing.

still has the plumbing etc.

questions are.
1/ can a sr20 run with the same plumbing? or anything else or do i ahve to stick with rotary?
1a/ if rotary - are they really ok? you hear so much pro and con?
2/ what approx cost is a set up for a sr20. adaptor, engine, etc.
3/ does the t3 box hold up ok? is there another choice? how much?
4/is there any real suprises that i have to be aware of?

hope to see some quick replies soon. got some quick decisions to make.

thanks

some love them / some dont
I dont
2/ what approx cost is a set up for a sr20. adaptor, engine, etc.
Sr20 n/a I have a new one in a crate $500.00
this is front wheel drive
Sr20 DET red rocker say $2000.00
Sr20 black rocker cover $3000.00 one gear box exploding donk ( I have one ) :)

3/ does the t3 box hold up ok?
can or worms

is there another choice?
start looking at single side plate boxes
how much? as low as $150.00
4/is there any real suprises that i have to be aware of?
geting a good motor , with a full ecu after market would be best starting at wolf $1000.00

hope to see some quick replies soon. got some quick decisions to make.

doing this would be best for your kit car , I think if you got all the parts you need on a winner
even a stock n/a sr20 go like the wind , chris over here buggy is one fast machine .

adapter plates I have not made just yet I stiing to see who else may wish to go down this road

thanks

i have a rotary conversion in a baja and i must say i have not had any problems at all and has never let me down

however a word of warning if you chose to do with a rotary conversion stay away from twin dizzy models ( gave the rotary the name of having no low down toque waht so ever ) and the the really early first 12a model engines ( can be a handful to tune and realiablity issues)

other then that i think rotaries are great ( specially injected models) however that is coming from rotary lover other people may have other ideas

have fun sounds like an interesting project
