vw clutch & pressure plate diameters
bluescorpion - January 14th, 2007 at 10:15 PM

Hi , I am currently about to fit a holden 6cyl red motor into an off road CAMS Approved race baja buggy. The baja cage is designed to mount the holden 6. Now to the point , - the flywheel & adaptor plate are currently mounted on the engine BUT I have NO clutch & pressure plate. The clutch plate looks to have been approx 228mm , so what model & year vw approx does this suit. The pressure plate seems to have had 6 bolts judging by the flywheel to hold it on also there are 3 locating dowel pins sticking out of the fylwheel to locate the pressure plate , so what model & year approx is this out off. Diagonal pressure plate holes measure approx 245mm. The diameter across the flywheel is approx 280mm. it is a 12volt flywheel. Any Help Appritiated- Thanks.

Hi

2 litre Kombis used a 228 mm clutch, they arnt very heavy/strong so you may need to buy an upgraded one.
