Nice exhaust!

Is that a BMW silencer?

Hi Gerrelt,
here you can see where the parts came from.

And one for Stephen, have to take a few detail pictures when bolting it back together!

No turbo here, it is for my EJ 22 beetle!

Thread resurrection time.

How's this one holding out, Jorgen?
Is the performance as good as your first one?
Is this one nice and quiet? I don't do loud, I want a whisper

I need to make up a new system for my van & have a WRX header kicking around

Hi ElusiveStranger,

it is indeed pretty quiet and performing as good as the first one.
It is wintertime here in Germany, so the right time for same changes. The GM muffler will be replaced by the catalytic converter of an Mitsubishi Evo VII. The converter is mentioned in the papers, so it is not legal to drive without one. The Impreza header is the easiest way to build a good exhaust for a conversion.

Cheers

Jörg

Thanks Jörgen.
I think I'm going to go for a stainless equal length header (modified) and maybe a Merc rear box or Golf R32. I have a fair bit of spare space in the engine bay in the van.
I'm fortunate that we don't have to run catalysts over here.

I don't mind losing the Subaru exhaust sound
