Bump ...

I've got the same problem. I'm finishing off an old project I got diverted from 10 years back.

SSP Box with Quaife diff. KEP 2300lb pressure plate. Pressure plate hits the tube. I started cutting the tube back (I've got a spare) - but gave up and just have the standard pressure plate and clutch in while I get it running and painted, etc. The inner dimension of the KEP pressure plate seems to be the problem - its smaller than standard.

What's the go?

I think you may have the wrong pressure plate, ive had this problem when I changed motors once. I think earlier models had a different thrust bearing setup.
Any vw clutch experts wanna weigh-in here?

Thanks Jonnyb - I found Dave's post. Mine looks a bit different, but I'll give it a go. I'll start a separate thread with pics if I strike trouble.
