Very Nice!!!

Couple questions, what you using for ECU? Subi, or aftermartet? Also, did you get a front cut for the engine.

Lovely work, looking forward to starting my conversion, has to be next year as Im stuck in the UK till then :borg: I am in the process of getting a motor, which will be either for a Baja Bug, or my old mans splittie. :starhit:

Cheers

Joel

Tried my hardest to persist with the OE ECU but had so many dramas it wasnt funny. Im now running a Microtech, pretty basic but doesa what I need.

Engine did come over as a front cut (45k km) but I only purchased the engine. Prob an expensive way but tried to eliminate any hassles of a crapped out engine. So far so good.

How did the SSP Box work out for you ?

SSP box is a treat, feels really strong. 1st and 2nd Albins are a bit noisy for the street but you get that. Course tooth Kombi 3rd and 4th should do the trick, good Super diff, strengthened side plate and all the other odds and sods when rebuilding have been done.

3.0, 2.0, 1.26, 0.84 do they sound right, I think they are my ratios. At 120km/h Im at 3000rpm, so its nice on the freeway.

I dont give it a hammering off the line or try and lay rubber so it should be sweet. Only prob I have had is a rubbing thrust bearing and its now clagged out so need to bloody pull box out again.
