Hey guys i just worked out a nice set of gear ratios but am a bit worried about first gear, on the excel dyno program it doesnt change my ET much from my last arrangement but will put 2 to 4th nice and close together. please give me your 2 cents.

2.75:1 is a very tall 1st gear. Very tall. Everything else on the sheet looks fine, so yes you could do 69kph in first.

With that 1st gear ratio, wouldnt you have to give it hell from start to get it going. I wouldnt think you would want to drop under 3.00.

that diff ratio won't last long............maybe the first launch !!

yeah right, thanx for giving me a good laugh. I needed one.

BTW, why did you pick such a tall ratio for first? Are you planning on doing circuit racing?

I have an albins 3.00 first.....needed something taller with the turbo. I still have the 3.88 r and p also.

Fuck i just waited the last 4 weeks to get custom 1st and 2nd mainshaft so i could use the 4.57 Albins R&B, how much did you want for them anyway?

I ended up with the following:

3.33
1.93
1.19
0.85

+ the 4.57 ring and pinnion.
