Hi all,
I am helping a friend with the wiring of VW based ICV, it is fitted with an ej22 engine. We have done all the wiring except for the alternator.

The alternator has 4 lugs for connections, the wiring diagrams we have been working from only have 2, we have looked at a couple of Subarus with these engines fitted, but they only have 2 as well.

We did not get any wiring for the alternator, though we do know where the wires go to from the diagrams we have. The problem is which lugs do we use?




Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated

upper left no connection
lower left heavy white wire (to battery positive
upper right black white trace (charge light))(ALT 1)
lower right yellow (ignition via fuse )(ALT 2)
