EJ20 t Turbo oil lines
liam66 - December 21st, 2008 at 07:38 AM

Due to space restrictions I'm putting my turbo out behind the motor. looks like two oil supply lines (banjo fittings) and a oil return (?) I'm guessing the return can just be plumbed straight into the sump ? The other oil lines originally came from the flywheel side of the motor. Is it safe to run lines from the original points up over the motor to the turbo? or willthe turbo lack oil volume or pressure ?

Hi

The pressure side of things shouldn't matter, the return must be downhill otherwise you will flood the bearings.

Just get a braided line for the feed. You might also be able to get the oil feed by putting a T piece inline with the oil pressure switch, which will be a shorter run.
