RISKYBUG - April 7th, 2009 at 07:32 PM

sorry for bringing this up but
a local bloke is about to have a 13b put into his 1500 chop top
it's going to be done in brissy and i just wanted to know a little more about this as in rules
like dose the radiator have to be mounted up front (he is talking about behine back seat)
also it has a basic roll cage the just goes into the door sheet metal would you need a full roll cage?
what kind of break?
also is there a power to weight rule 1 X 2 kind of thing and any sites that have the nsw rules and would that be different to qlds
thanks for the help everyone

he'll find the hardway rear mount rads just dont work well in a bug
talk to Wes his is about the only setup i know of that works
everyone else thats tried it has ended up moving it to the front cos u just cant get the air flow thro it properly in the back

oh and re. Brakes 4 wheel discs would be a good idea

13b in qld cant be done legally for a 1500 bug ive got one engineered here in qld and nsw with a 12a but the radiator is up front and works well make sure he has enough air flow across the oil cooler
